3 Weeks Old

Monty is now 3 weeks old - time goes by so fast. He has been doing really well. His peeling and dry skin has cleared up, cradle cap is gone, his umbilical cord has finally fallen off, and his eye is doing much better. But his baby acne is still here and has gotten worse, I'm hoping it will clear up soon.

Monty has been sleeping around 4-5 hours at a time at night, sometimes even 6 hours. I am always grateful when he makes it 4 hours or longer because I feel a thousand times better the next day. He does occasionally have a bad night when he'll only sleep an hour or two at a time. Those are the days we both take a nap in the afternoon.

He has really started to grow. He no longer fits into newborn clothes, and has made his way into the 0-3 month category pretty well. I've even noticed that he has started adding a little baby fat around his legs, hands and chin. His head has also grown a lot. I would estimate that he weights between 10 and 11 pounds these days (with clothes on), according to our scale at home. I can't wait to see how much he weights at his 2 month appointment.

Another landmark he has reached is eye movement. He can now follow me or a toy with both of his eyes now. He is also awake a lot during the day now, its fun to watch him look around and be active.

Here are a few pictures of Monty at 3 weeks old.
