Losing That Baby Weight

I don't have a full plan yet on how I'm going to lose all of my baby weight. I do know that my goal is to weight between 140-145 lbs by the time I need to wear shorts or put on a bathing suit. I originally weight 135 lbs, but I don't think that is a realistic goal because my hips have spread just a little and my boobs have at least tripled in size since Monty was born.

I'm going to keep track of my weight on the blog under the "My Progress" section on the left hand side of the blog. I'm doing this simply for motivation. I know that if I keep my weight progress public that it will give me motivation each week to be able to post that I've lost a pound or two. As of right now, I've lost a total of 22 pounds! Of which, I really didn't do any work at all - other than taking care of Monty. Breastfeeding could have been a small factor in this because you burn an extra 700-1,000 calories a day when breastfeeding, but I also know that they say you don't truly see any weight-loss benefits till 6 months after you've been breastfeeding.

A few ways I've thought about losing weight
  1. Doing extra around the house such as lunges, sit ups etc. whenever I find the free time
  2. Going on long walks/jogs whenever the weather is nice
  3. Joining a gym
  4. Getting Wii Fit
  5. Work out videos at home
  6. Join a Baby + Mom workout class/group - I love this idea, but it would probably be pretty costly
As one landmark, I did fit into one pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans today! I was very excited, but I must confess that they are a little snug, and would def. fit better after I lose a few more pounds.

I currently have another 19 pounds to lose! So wish me luck!
