This month has been really exciting. Monty has started to crawl, which I love because it gives him more independence to do things like chasing balls around the room or following me around. He does tend to do some not so good things like spill a couple of drinks that I left unattended or get stuck under things such as the kitchen table or his activity bouncer - but overall, it's one of his greatest accomplishments so far.
He has started talking a lot now. He first started with "dada", then moved onto saying "hi"......and he even says "mom-mom-mom". It's so fun to hear him say real words. He also says "Mmmmm" when he eats, but I'm not sure if that counts as a real word or not.
He is still all smiles. A girlfriend of mine said the other day that he only has one emotion - happy. And although we have had a few rough days with his teething, that is a great way to describe him. He makes himself laugh all the time, and anything even as simple as a funny noise will make him laugh.
His favorite things right now are balls, books, his johnny jumper and of course FOOD! He eats anything, but is starting to get tired of drinking his milk/bottle. He eats three full meals a day and is slowly drinking less formula each day, but I figure he is still healthy so I try not to worry to much about it.
His growing has started to slow down a little bit. But he is still a big boy, and is wearing 12 month clothes right now (he just turned 8 months old today). His feet and hands have really grown though, I'm not sure if maybe I just didn't notice because over the summer he didn't really need shoes or socks. But, since Fall has started I noticed that he has outgrown all of his socks and is now wearing a size 4 shoe.
