Monty is getting so fun to be around these days. He has just starting grabbing things (toys, my hair, the bottle) on purpose now. He is finally starting to get some hand-eye coordination. He still smiles all the time, and he is really close to laughing. Every now and then he'll laugh just a little bit, but I don't think he has any control over it yet. He talks and talks and talks all day and night. He wakes up every morning and starts his own conversation with his mobile. He'll also talk to anyone who is listening, or even if there not listening.
Taking a bath is a whole new world of fun lately. He has finally discovered his legs, so they are constantly kicking. He kicks and splashes the whole time while taking a bath.
I just started him on rice cereal. I know its a couple of weeks early, but he just eats so much. His pediatrician said that its typical to start around three and a half months, but after talking to another girlfriend who started her baby on rice cereal around 6 weeks (because of the same thing) I figured starting him 2 weeks before the 3 1/2 month mark, really wouldn't hurt him. Monty has been eating about 6 ounces during the day at feedings, but around 8 ounces before bed and for his first feeding in the morning. He is such a pig!
This brings us to how big he is getting. I weighed him on my parents vegetable scale and he was 15 lbs! He is getting so big, and he is looking much older now. His face is starting to fill out a bit, which helps him show his personality more.
I also think he is close to getting his first tooth in. He has been a little fussy lately and constantly is chewing on something. I guess we'll see!
