Monty's Two Month Checkup

Monty and I went to his two month checkup this morning and it went really well. The outcome was:

• 13 lbs, 24 inches
• His tear duct still isn't open, so the pediatrician showed me a few things I could do to help it open up
• He has developed a small flat spot on the right side of his head. It's barely noticeable, but the doc mentioned the word "helmet" (if it gets really bad) which has scared me enough to rearrange all of his things so he always looks to the left instead.
• He is holding his head up really well, the pediatrician said he was better then average in that category! High five to all that belly time.
• She told me I could introduce rice cereal around 3 1/2 to 4 months - I'm really excited about that
• He still has some craddle cap on his forehead, she recommended butting baby oil on it instead, so I'm going to try that.

Monty has really started to get a little personality to him. He is generally pretty laid back, but can occasionally have a meltdown. He has started sleeping really well. He is up to 8 hrs at night now, sometimes he'll wake up after 4 hrs, but I just go in and give him his binky, tell him good night and he'll fall back asleep.

He has started to try and grab for things now. He can pull his favorite toy "the duck" down now, that is of course if you help him grab a hold of it.
